Wayne "HipHop" Cox

Wayne “HipHop” Cox, 68, of Lancaster, KY passed away at his home on March 20, 2024.  He was born in Lincoln County, KY on April 30, 1955 to his parents, the late Delno and Emarine Shearer Cox.

He was a lifelong farmer and loved tractors, especially Ford and International; he was known for his tobacco stripping and bush hogging.

Wayne leaves behind his daughter, Janey Lee Cox of Lancaster, KY; nieces, Tammy Bolin of Stanford, KY, Torie Ryan of Liberty, KY, Verscilla “LeeLee” Cox; nephew Ronnie “RonRon” Cox; and numerous extended cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronald Cox and sister Carolyn Bolin.

Services will be held at Spurlin Funeral Home on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm.  Visitation will  be from 12:00 - 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Duncantown Cemetery, Lancaster, KY.

Pallbearers are Janey Cox, Anthony Browning, Donnie Patterson, Corey Bragg, Ron Stevens and Jerry Long.
