Ellen J. Rosales

Ellen J. Rosales, 79, of Lancaster, passed away February 19, 2026 at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born on November 2, 1946 to the late Carl Schular and Bernice Hickman Stipe. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Frank Rosales. 

Ellen was a Home Health Worker and worked for Baptist Health for many years.

Also surviving is a son, Mark Whitehead (Kim) of Nicholasville; grandchild, Allison Houghton (Kyle); a great-grandchild, Sutton Houghton; brothers, Carl Schular, Jr. (Daisy) of Franklin, Kentucky, Tony Stipe (Goldie) of Frenchburg, Kentucky and Jeff Stipe of Florida; step-father, Raymond Stipe of Menifee County, KY; and several nephews and cousins.

Ellen is preceded in death by a daugher, Tina Whitehead and a sister, Sherry Stipe.

Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Cole Caven officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be Mike Duggins, Paul Dunn, Pete Garcia, Petee Garcia, Chris Duggins and Tom Chesnut.
