Gary Lee Jasper

Gary Lee Jasper, 75, of Garrard County,  beloved father, brother, and grandfather passed away February 10, 2026 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. 

Gary was born on June 29, 1950 in Pulaski County, KY to the late Raymond Henry Jasper and Bonnie Dunbar Jasper. Gary developed a deep love for agriculture early in his life. He spent his entire life farming. Mainly working with tobacco, hay, and corn. Gary worked on the Middleton Farm for many years. Gary was a man of integrity, known to his neighbors to always lend a hand and share his farming wisdom. He loved spending time with his family, especially time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Gary was a lifelong University of Kentucky basketball fan.

Gary is survived by five children, Loretta Jasper Dunn, Rodney Jasper, Elaine Hopkins, Sue Byrd, and David Roberts; siblings, Janet Willems, Cecil Jasper, Donnie Jasper, David Jasper, Helen Tussey and Karen Lawless; four grandchildren, Kasey Jasper (Laney), Kylie Bruce (Seth), Peyton Dunn; one great grandchild, Makenna Bruce; and special friends, Keith Middleton, Kevin Middleton, and Johnny Johnson. 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Roberts; five siblings, Floyd Jasper, Loretta Brooks, Wendell Jasper, Robert Jasper, and Joyce Brooks; and a granddaughter, Jessica Lunsford. 

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Harper officiating. 

Visitation will be 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
